Full Recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 bottle rosé wine (preferably darker in color for better flavor)
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 4–6 tablespoons strawberry simple syrup (adjust to taste)
For the Strawberry Simple Syrup:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
Directions
- Freeze the Rosé: Pour the rosé wine into a gallon-size freezer-safe Ziplock bag, place it in a dish to catch any leaks, seal, and freeze overnight. Note that due to the alcohol content, the wine won’t freeze solid.
- Prepare the Strawberry Simple Syrup: In a mason jar or glass measuring cup, combine water and sugar. Microwave until bubbling (about 1–2 minutes), then stir until the sugar dissolves. Carefully add the chopped strawberries, then refrigerate overnight. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to obtain the syrup. This can be made up to 5 days in advance.
- Blend the Frosé: When ready to serve, add the frozen rosé, vodka, and 4 tablespoons of the strawberry simple syrup to a blender. Blend until smooth. Taste and add more simple syrup if desired, keeping in mind that the sweetness will intensify as the drink melts.
- Serve: Pour the blended mixture into glasses, insert straws, and enjoy immediately.
