Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter
    • In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
    • In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
    • Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined (the batter should be slightly lumpy).
    • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  2. Heat the Pan
    • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
    • Lightly grease the pan with butter or oil.
  3. Cook the Pancakes
    • Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
    • Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to set (about 2–3 minutes).
    • Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
    • Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter or oil as needed.
  4. Serve
