Units Scale

Shrimp and Topping:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-seasoned)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Breadcrumb Mixture: Combine breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, oregano, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix until evenly moistened.
  3. Arrange the Shrimp: Place shrimp in a single layer in a baking dish. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add white wine and stir well. Pour the mixture over the shrimp in the baking dish.
  5. Top with Breadcrumbs: Evenly sprinkle the prepared breadcrumb mixture over the shrimp.
  6. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  7. Broil for a Golden Crust: Broil for 1-2 minutes to achieve a crispy, golden topping.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges. Pair with pasta, crusty bread, or a side salad for a complete meal.
